Netherlands based Boels Rental has acquired the entire share capital of Supply UK Group for an undisclosed sum. Supply UK Group is a top 10 tool hire company in the UK with a strong specialist Survey and Laser equipment division.
Supply UK Group started in 1998 and grew to 25 locations, owned by its founding management team. The company has 165 employees and is a leading provider of tool hire, small plant and specialist surveying equipment in the UK.
Supply UK Group managing director Chris Haycocks will lead the next phase of the company’s growth, to be branded as Boels in the future. “Boels investment will enable us to offer an ever increasing selection of new equipment during our next phases of growth.”
Pierre Boels, managing director of Boels Rental, says: “The UK is the largest market for equipment and tool rental in Europe, so it was a natural step for us, having found the right team in Supply UK that shares our customer service ethos. The rental concepts we will bring, together with continued investment in new equipment and facilities, will work well for customers in the UK.”
Boels Rental started in tool rental 40 years ago, moving into specialised rental categories including larger plant in many European markets. Boels Rental now operates from more than 350 locations in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Poland, Italy and Slovakia. The company has over 3,000 employees.
