Boels Rental is constantly advancing in the field of electrification. That is why we closely follow developments in the areas of zero emission and alternative fuels. This makes Boels the first rental company to offer 2.5 tonne 6m electric telehandlers. A first in the field.
Harm Munsters, Fleet & Maintenance Manager: “We are constantly on the lookout for new ways of enhancing and expanding our zero-emission product range. An electric telehandler was not yet available. And this telehandler offers the powerful performance our customers are looking for.” The 2.5 tonne electric telehandler has as much power as a conventional telehandler. With a maximum lifting height of 6 metres, the telehandler is truly versatile.
Power that lasts the entire work day
The 24kWh Li-on battery can handle a full working day of normal use. Still need more power? An external quick charger allows the telehandler to charge up to 80% in 1 hour. Being able to charge the telehandler during breaks means that work will not stop due to an empty battery.
Working with electric power and recharging with a quick battery charger also means that there is no need for fuel logistics. No jerrycans and no fuel storage. This automatically creates a safer environment for construction sites.
No emissions
The 2.5 tonne battery-operated telehandler is low noise and has no emissions. It is ideal for work in residential areas and city centres, not to mention storage sheds, narrow passages, car parks and tunnels.
Working safely
Like other zero-emission machines, this telehandler also has advantages in terms of worker safety. Besides the fact that low noise and zero emissions are positive for the environment, operators also benefits from the same advantages in terms of health.
Largest zero emission fleet
At the moment Boels offers a zero emission version for a large portion of its rental fleet. From plate compactors of 17kN to 4.3 ton wheel loaders for earthmoving, to electric boom lifts of up to 20 metres and forklifts of 1.6 tonnes to 5 tonnes. Virtually all of the gardening and landscaping tools are electric as well.
