An observant employee and the benefits of using info@boels.nl
An e-mail sent to the Boels Rental info address was the starting point for a successful collaboration between Italian construction company Rizanni De Eccher and Boels Rental. One observant employee responded swiftly, enlisting the help of just the right colleagues. Now, almost a year later, the two tallest buildings in Amsterdam are beginning to take shape. Project Manager Philip Winter accompanies us around the construction site together with his English colleague from Rizanni De Eccher, Robert Crook.
In North Amsterdam, two of the city’s tallest towers are currently emerging along the IJ promenade. They will serve as a hotel and an exclusive apartment complex. The Italian builder Rizanni de Eccher is busy working at the construction site to ensure the project’s successful completion. The towers need to be completed within three years at this beautiful part of ‘new’ Amsterdam. Boels Rental has been involved in the construction from the very beginning, with its branch in Amsterdam North as the linking pin.

Roughly 500 workers are active at the site every day. The aerial view looks like an anthill of people hard at work. And two colours dominate the building site. The grey of concrete and steel, and the orange of Boels Rental. “There really is a lot going on, too much to mention in detail. Almost every department is involved in this project, from units to construction hoists and from Bio Boxes and telehandlers to specialist construction equipment. It is truly a team effort”, explains Boels Project Manager Philip Winter.
This is the very first project in the Netherlands for Rizanni De Eccher according to site construction employee Robert Crook. “It is important to be able to count on a partner like Boels. Our collaboration is going very well. Boels has a very structured way of working and is easy to reach. They deliver everything we ask for and very quickly, too.” ‘Speed’ is the magic word for Crook and his team members. Robert pointed out that a delay of just one hour could have a major impact on the entire construction process. “Our excellent collaboration with Philip and the close proximity of the Boels branch really make a difference for us. If we are able to continue this cooperation and work pace, we will meet the deadline for completion of these beautiful towers.”
