Boels Rental acquires Abird from private equity investor NPM.
Boels Rental is one of Europe’s leading equipment and tool rental companies. The company is active in 17 European countries and has more than 400 branches. Its workforce consist of over 3,250 people. Boels Rental has been active in the rental market for 40 years and its turnover is forecast to grow by 15% in 2017 to €440 million.
Abird has been active for more than 50 years in the Benelux and Germany, and achieves an annual turnover of over €27 million. It is specialised in the rental, sale and maintenance of industrial tools, welding equipment, hoisting and lifting gear, and air, light and power apparatus. The acquisition of Abird, which has 7 branches and a workforce of 127 people, will enable Boels Rental to continue strengthen its position and market share in the sector.
