“A scissor lift saves time, is sustainable and with a large work area, is ideal for working at height.” Arjan Ruitebeek of Brandsen installation engineering often works with Boels for his projects. “We choose Boels because of the service, but also because of the price they offer. For a current project, Brandsen installation engineering is providing the mechanical and electrical installations at a Hunkemöller distribution centre. “This is all at height so we can’t avoid using aerial platforms. We use the scissor work platform, a stable machine with a large work platform. This way, all materials and tools can go up at once.”

The scissor lift provides the ability to drive through the hall even without lowering the platform. “This allows us to work faster. It is electric and silent. It is recharged at night so you can work with it during the day. This way, we as operators can do our bit for sustainability. Also, the wheels have a special coating that prevents marking on the floor.”

Collaboration with Boels
An essential aspect of working with Boels is the direct contact with account manager Fatih Gokce. “We have one single point of contact at Boels and the contact is low-threshold. The machines we use sometimes break down or have a malfunction. It is very important that it is repaired as soon as possible so that the mechanics can continue and the work does not come to a standstill.
Meanwhile, there is an app group with main mechanics and Gokce which means Brandsen installation engineering can always contact him quickly. “Gokce takes action and always ensures that a mechanic is on the doorstep the same day or a replacement machine is delivered.”
Brandsen installation engineering does not own all the necessary machines itself and works with Boels for this reason. “If we need something else, it is always delivered quickly by Boels. It is a big plus that, thanks to Boels, we can keep running and meet our schedules. The short lines of communication with Gokce contribute to this. Boels has a large range and thanks to the many branches, we never miss out and always have the machines we need within a day.”
