Tight deadline met due to high level efficiency
Kaufland is a leading German supermarket group with more than 700 branches in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Romania. Boels played an important role during the construction of the new Kaufland site in Backnang in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
Specialist knowledge
Construction company Franz Traub GmbH & Co. KG appointed five subcontractors, all of whom made use of Boels’ extensive rental range and specialist knowledge. This resulted in such a high level of efficiency that the tight deadline of nine months was met without any issues.
Advisory role
Franz Traub and Boels have been working together for a number of years now, to the full satisfaction of both companies. Within this collaboration, Boels not only supplies all the required equipment, it also acts as advisor to the construction company. Thanks to years of experience and professional knowledge in the field of equipment, Boels knows exactly which machines are needed for each specific job. This specialist knowledge makes Boels a highly valued partner. Or to use the words of Franz Traub: “Boels is our valued advisor and also distinguishes itself by providing fast delivery, fast service and competitive prices.”
The project commenced in March 2019, starting with the demolition of the existing Kaufland plant. In the property redevelopment that followed, the existing material from the old site was reused as much as possible. The new building opened its doors in the autumn of 2019.
